There is something strangely modern about these life size terracotta images of Christ, surrounded by his mother and disciples. It's partly to do with the incredible sense of movement, somewhqt removed from the more classical images we are used to in renaissance art. But also a sense that we are looking at a Bolognese version of Madame Tussauds. They are almost psychedelically trippy.
